We’ve been absent for a month but we are officially back for good. This is the best time of the year because we got all the major sports going on, which means more plays and opportunities to win some cash. Hockey has their opener tonight and the AL Wild Card is in action as well.
Calgary Flames vs Vancouver Canucks: Flames -135
Home opener for the Canucks and you know Vancouver will be buzzing. The Flames, on the other hand, have added a lot of new pieces to their roster to help make a deep playoff run this year. Vancouver is not expected to contend this year but have a lot of young talent.
The Flames added James Neil up front to complement Johnny Hockey and Monahan. Goaltender Mike Smith is a year older but he has a better defense group in front of him this year. Hannifin will come in and eat minutes for the Flames. Overall they have a better roster this year and should come out hot to start the year.
The Canucks get their stud back fully healthy in Brock Boeser. Boeser had 29 goals as a rookie and their first-round draft pick this year Elias Pettersson is no slouch either. The Canucks have the talent but their age will hurt them this year. For tonight’s game they will put up a fight but the Flames have an overall better team. I like the Flames to grab the victory tonight.
